It all started with an idea. Susan Castillo had asked Johana Jones to make her a crochet cap for her, but after seeing the finished product realized that it would be a great idea to make these caps for other cancer patients who like Susan were losing their hair due to the chemo therapy. This amazing group of sisters gathered for four weeks to learn how to crochet so that they could make and deliver the hand-made caps. Each week the women—and a few daring husbands—got together to pray a rosary. Then the crochet hooks came out while Johana and a few of the other sisters gave lessons to the group on how to crochet. In the end the women made over 80 caps! May God bless all of you sisters for going out of your way to bring a little joy to someone in need.
